Returns

Books can be returned in unused/brand new condition within 14 days for a refund, or 30 days for store credit. Most unused/unworn non-book merchandise may be returned within 30 days for refund or store credit. The following items are final sale: artwork, ceramics, magazines, and all discounted merchandise. Receipts are required for returns. Please contact us at hello@bindingagentsphilly.com with any questions.

Event Policies

To ensure a great experience for everyone, Binding Agents has updated our event policies as of August 1, 2025:

• Cancellations at least one week in advance of the event can receive a full refund 

• Cancellations between one week and 48 hours in advance of the event can receive a 50% refund

• Cancellations less than 48 hours in advance of the event will not be refunded 

If your event ticket included a book paid for in advance, we will gladly hold it for pickup within 30 days. For author talks and signings, we can have the book signed and personalized for you upon request. Books picked up in advance of an event (i.e., Cookbook Club) are subject to our standard return policy. 

Gift cards

Binding Agents offers two types of gift cards:

• E-gift cards, which can be purchased online or in-store, and emailed or texted to the purchaser or the recipient. These gift cards can usually be tracked using the email address or phone number on file.

• Physical gift cards, which can be purchased in-store only. These gift cards are not associated with an email address and are more difficult to track if lost.

In both cases, we recommend documenting the gift card number in case the original is lost or stolen. Without the gift card number, we cannot guarantee a replacement.

Gift cards are valid on in-store purchases, on our pre-order site, or on event tickets via Simpletix.

Binding Agents gift cards cannot be used on Bookshop.org, but they do offer their own gift cards which support our shop.

All gift cards are final sale.
